Don't Attack Yorubaland, South-West Hunters Warn Criminals

Hunters in South-West region of Nigeria had on Tuesday, threatened reprisals on criminals attacking and kidnapping farmers and travellers in the region if the aggressive acts continues.

The coordinator of hunters in the South-West, Dr. Nureni Ajijola-Anabi, who is also the president of Soludero Hunters Association, gave the warning in an interview with reporters.

In his words, " We have been helping to curb criminal activities in Nigeria, particularly in the South-West. We are using this opportunity to inform the new Governor of Oyo State, Mr. Seyi Makinde, that we shall give his government necessary support in the area of security "

He also appealed to President Buhari to involve them in the fight against terrorism in the country.

He said that combination of security agents and local hunters should aid the army to tackle the fight against terrorism.

According to Ajijola, " I want to tell you we have charms that can demobilize armored tanks and riffles of all kinds. Their weapons will just not work. When invited, we can also give the soldiers some protection that would not make them vulnerable to attacks."

"The president should just try us and see if we can help. But, I assure you that Nigerians, including the army, will see how much we can do. There are still charms that can render weapons of war of the insurgents useless and we will be catching them like chickens."
