August 22 is International Day of Victims of Religious Violence- UN
The UN General Assembly has declared August 22nd as International Day to commemorate the Victims of Acts of Violence based on Religion or Belief on Tuesday.
This followed the adoption of draft resolution A/73/L85 tabled by Poland with support from several countries.
The following countries are in support of this declaration: Brazil, Jordan, Canada, Egypt, Nigeria, Iraq, the United States and Pakistan.
